Table Talk (in a Time of Pandemic)
We have discussed restarting Table Talk as we come into the fall/winter seasons. The aim of Table Talk is to gather around the table (in current circumstances a virtual table via Zoom) for respectful and in-depth conversation, consideration and dialogue regarding matters of concern to our spiritual lives. Generally we engage with biblical passages (following the principle articulated by N T Wright: ‘Perhaps, indeed, that is what “holy scripture” really is—not a calm, serene list of truths to be learned or commands to be obeyed, but a jagged book that forces you to grow up in your thinking as you grapple with it’) or other articles to focus our engagement with our diverse perspectives. Notifications are done via email, so if you would like to be included in the invitation list, or if you think your name has been inadvertently left off the list, email firstname.lastname@example.org with a message to be included in the email thread.
